Archie

Archie began as an exploration of how simple geometric forms could create a chair that feels both sculptural and inviting. Inspired by the strength and elegance of architectural arches, I wanted to design a piece that balances bold visual form with everyday comfort. Throughout the process, I explored dozens of concepts, refined the design through sketching and prototyping, and built a scaled wooden model to test proportions, construction, and materiality. The final chair combines warm wood, soft upholstery, and exposed structural elements to celebrate craftsmanship while creating a timeless piece that feels equally at home as functional furniture and as a work of art.
